St. Lucia/Martinique Charter Combo

Sail to Martinique from St. Lucia! An exciting voyage that will take you across the open waters of the Caribbean Sea up to our northerly neighbor of Martinique – a place which has been called “a little bit of France in the Caribbean”.
Martinique yields a very unique type of experience for any Caribbean island. It effectively mixes the laid back island lifestyle with French culture. Martinique offers a West Indian warmth in its personality and a special spice in its music and dance, its local dishes, and its way of life.
St. Lucia is all that you’ve heard about – it’s honey sand beaches, rich coral reefs, dense tropical jungles, and rugged landscape.
St. Lucia and Martinique together make for a wonderful sailing trip – two separate worlds where all that connects them is the sea.

Caribbean Fortune Hunter 8 Days/7 Nights

Set sail from our home base of Marigot Bay, St. Lucia’s. From here we set our course due south to Soufriere and the famous Pitons Mountains. We anchor here under the shadow of these magnificent peaks for a romantic evening aboard or a visit to a local restaurant ashore.

We spend some time exploring more of what Soufrière has to offer; the drive-in Volcano, Botanical Gardens, Diamond Falls and the Volcanic Mineral Baths. In the later half of the day we do the quick sail up to Anse Chastenet to enjoy snorkeling and the beach. To finish the day we sail back north and anchor in Rodney Bay, one of the northernmost anchorages in St. Lucia.

After breakfast, we make the crossing from St. Lucia to Martinique, sailing up past the historic Diamond Rock to Martinique. We stop en route for lunch and snorkeling at a secluded beach, and then continue onwards to the colorful town of Fort de France or Anse Mitan-Trois Islets.

We sail along Martinique’s mountainous Caribbean coastline to St. Pierre, where we anchor in the shadow of Mount. Pelée – the island’s infamous volcano, now gone quiet.

We set sail to Grande Anse d’Arlet. Here we can relax a little at the beach or enjoy some good snorkeling. A relaxing evening in a tropical French fishing village awaits you.

We sail to Ste-Anne and snchor in front of the Club Med for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy the beach or take a ride to the magnificent Les Salines Beach. Enjoy a fabulous French-Caribbean dinner ashore – a must with so many restaurants to choose from. .

We make the return crossing back to St. Lucia today. Take your turn on the helm or just find a spot on deck for some quiet reading or sun tanning. Anchor around Gros Islet where you can enjoy the beach or visit Pigeon Island National Park. At night (if it’s Friday), the fishing town of Gros Islet transforms itself into a carnival scene, with lively soca and reggae music.

Return to Marigot Bay, leave the yacht by 10:00 AM, although you’ll surely be wanting to stay longer, and possibly even contemplating a life at sea in the Caribbean.
